Before Your Visit

Welcome to the Dog Ranch

Whether it’s your dog’s first visit or their next ranch vacation, a little preparation helps us make their stay comfortable, happy, and full of fun.

Getting Ready for Their Stay

A few things to have in place before arrival. Most of it happens once, in Goose, and then you never think about it again.

Create or Update Their Goose Profile

Share your dog’s feeding routine, personality, play style, and care needs so we can help them feel at home and give them the best vacation ever. Returning guests, please check that care instructions and contact details are up to date.

Provide Vaccination Records

Current Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations are required. Upload records to Goose before your visit or bring a hard copy at drop-off.

Complete the Agreements

Review and sign any required boarding and daycare agreements in Goose before arrival.

Reserve Their Stay

A 25% deposit secures your booking. Holiday bookings require a 50% deposit.

Pack Their Usual Food

Bring enough of your dog’s regular food for their stay in zip-top bags labeled with their name, the amount per meal, and feeding times. Please leave large food bags and bulky containers at home.

Medications & Care Instructions

Bring any medications labeled with your dog’s name, along with written instructions listing the medication name, exact dose, and timing. Include any other care details we should know. Oral medications are administered at no charge; injections are $5.

Bring a Little Comfort from Home

Pack any blankets your dog needs or loves to sleep with. Familiar scents can help them settle in and feel at home. Please label everything with their name.

Vaccinations, Every Guest

Required for boarding and daycare alike, with no exceptions, it’s how we keep every dog in the yards safe.

Bordetella needs to have been given more than three days before the visit. Upload records to your profile when you book, or bring proof with you at drop-off.

Questions We Get the Most

Will my dog always have water?

Yes. Fresh water is available at all times and refreshed multiple times throughout the day.

Do I need to bring bowls?

No. We provide food and water bowls and wash them daily.

Do you charge to administer medications?

Oral medication administration is included at no charge. Injections are $5. Please bring clearly labeled medications with written dosage and timing instructions.

Can I bring my dog’s bed, blankets, or toys?

Yes. Familiar items can help your dog feel comfortable. Please label everything and leave anything valuable or sentimental at home, as belongings may become worn, damaged, or lost during their stay.

How do you keep playgroups safe?

Safety comes first. We match dogs by size, energy, temperament, and play style, and adjust groups as needed. Dogs showing aggressive behavior do not join group play. If your dog prefers their own space, tell us before arrival so we can discuss the right arrangements.

Is daycare included with overnight boarding?

Yes. Outdoor play and daily care are included in your boarding rate. Single-night stays have a separate rate that accounts for daytime care.

When is the deposit refundable?

A 25% deposit is taken at booking. It’s non-refundable if you cancel with less than 14 days’ notice.

Holiday bookings take a 50% deposit, and holiday deposits are non-refundable. Plans change, so tell us as early as you can and we’ll do what we can.

Should I bring my dog’s bark collar?

If your dog normally wears a bark collar at home, please bring it and let our team know how it is used.

What happens if my dog becomes ill?

We’ll contact you promptly and arrange veterinary care as needed. Whenever possible, we’ll use your regular veterinarian within the Flathead Valley during office hours. For urgent care during evenings and weekends, we’ll contact Flathead Pet Emergency.

How should I pack food and medication?

Bring your dog’s regular food in labeled zip-top bags with feeding instructions. Medications should be clearly labeled with your dog’s name and accompanied by written instructions for the exact dose and timing.

Do you welcome intact dogs?

Yes. Intact males and females are welcome, with playgroups adjusted accordingly. Two intact males are never grouped together, and intact males are never grouped with intact females. Females cannot attend while in heat or for three weeks after their cycle ends.

What happens when my dog arrives?

We’ll welcome your dog, help them settle in, and introduce them to a playgroup matched to their size, energy, and personality. Our team keeps an eye on their comfort and adjusts as needed, setting them up for a great time at the ranch.

We share photos and videos of our ranch guests on social media throughout the day, so follow along for a glimpse of the fun. You’re always welcome to reach out for an update, too.
