These are the house rules for every guest, boarding and daycare alike. They exist to keep the yards safe, and we apply them consistently.
Every guest must have current Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccination records. Please upload records to Goose before your visit or bring a printed copy at drop-off. Records must be verified before your dog can stay or attend daycare.
We welcome both spayed/neutered and intact dogs. Play groups are arranged based on size, temperament, play style, and reproductive status.
Two intact males will never be placed together, and intact males will never be placed with intact females. Separate play groups or individual yard time will be provided as needed so every dog can safely enjoy the ranch.
Females cannot attend while in heat or for three weeks after their heat cycle ends. If a heat cycle begins during a stay, we’ll contact you to arrange prompt pickup, so please have a local emergency contact available if she may be approaching a cycle.
Guests must arrive in good health, free of contagious illness and fleas or ticks. Please contact us before arrival if your dog has coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, an unexplained rash, or recent exposure to a contagious illness.
Let us know about any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, mobility limitations, or recent procedures so we can discuss your dog’s care needs. If a dog becomes ill during their stay, we will contact you and seek veterinary care when needed.
Every dog deserves to feel safe and comfortable at the ranch. Please share any history of biting, aggression, resource guarding, escape attempts, or anxiety before your visit.
Group play is based on compatibility and each dog’s comfort. We may adjust groups, provide individual outdoor time, or add quiet breaks as needed. Dogs must be able to be handled safely by our team. If we cannot safely meet a dog’s needs, we may decline a reservation or arrange an early pickup.

We administer oral medications at no additional charge. Injections are $5. Please provide medications in their original labeled containers, along with clear written instructions for dosage and timing. Let us know about any special administration needs before arrival so we can confirm appropriate care.
A 25% deposit is required to secure your reservation. Reservations during holiday weeks require a 50% deposit.
Please plan your arrival and departure within these windows so our team can give every guest the care and attention they need.
We have several veterinary clinics close to the ranch. If your dog needs veterinary care during their stay, we will contact you and arrange care. If you have a preferred veterinarian within the Flathead Valley, we will take your dog there whenever they are available and able to provide the care needed.
Please include your preferred veterinarian and an emergency contact in your Goose profile. If urgent care is needed and we cannot reach you, we will seek prompt treatment at an available veterinary clinic.

Please bring enough of your dog’s regular food for their stay, labeled with their name, along with written feeding instructions. Let us know about food allergies and whether your dog may receive treats.
Please keep your dog on a secure leash when arriving and leaving, and allow our team to guide introductions.
Keep your contact information current in Goose and let us know who is authorized to pick up your dog. Please provide an emergency contact who can assist if you are unavailable.
Outdoor activities may be adjusted for weather, air quality, and each dog’s comfort. Our team will provide appropriate breaks and indoor rest as needed.

Columbia Mountain Dog Ranch & Resort respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our booking system, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use your information to care for your dog, manage reservations and deposits, answer your questions, send booking confirmations and reminders, and contact you or your emergency contact about your dog during a stay. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We share information only with the services that help us run the ranch: Goose for booking and payments, the service that delivers contact form messages to us, and a veterinarian if your dog needs care during a stay. Each handles your information only to provide that service.
This site shows a Google map of our location and links to our booking page on Goose and to our social media pages. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
We keep your dog’s records and your booking history for as long as you’re a guest of the ranch, and as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
You can update most of your details in your Goose profile at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, call the ranch at (406) 897-7197 or send us a note through the contact page.

We want this site to work for everyone who needs to book care for their dog, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.
Accessibility is never finished, and we would rather hear about a problem than have someone give up on the booking. Call the ranch or use the contact form and tell us what happened, we’ll fix it and, in the meantime, help you book by phone.
